BPCL, Cochin Port Sign MoU For Bunkering Facilities

Oil major Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and the Cochin Port Authority announced the signing of a MoU for establishing bunkering facilities on 31st October 2025. The bunkering facilities will be used for LNG-powered and dual-fuel vessels at the outer anchorage, inner port limits, and the Petronet LNG Ltd Jetty.

The MoU will see a proposed investment of ₹500 crore.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Mr. K. Balasubramanian, Chairperson of Cochin Port Authority and Mr. Manoj Menon, Business Head (I&C), BPCL at the India Matitime Week 2025 Mumbai.

BPCL took to social media to announcement and added that it is committed to strengthening India’s green maritime infrastructure and accelerating the development of sustainable shipping orders
